This lists free fonts for websites which may be used in addition to the various O/S native fonts. Pointing to a font name displays information about the font. Clicking on a font name goes to a page with a specimen, with more information about it, and with a link to download it.

The fonts are listed as follows:

 

NB​: in these lists: 1 dark font names are dark; 2 somewhat dark font names are somewhat dark; 3 pale font names are pale; 4 the number of font weights are [in square brackets]; 5 font names in the same superfamily are «within angle quotes with a cyan background».

NB​: these fonts may have multiple font types: e.g. a font is both monospace & serif if it’s a monospace font with serifs.

This lists specimens for exceptional brush fonts. NB: font sizes should be larger than normal.

This lists specimens for calligraphic fonts, i.e. fonts whose letters appear written (not printed) by a pen with a nib; fonts are limited to those which are quite legible, thus not overly ornate. NB: font sizes should be larger than normal.
