Fonts ⮞ Weights

CSS enables one to specify 9 weights for a font, numbered 100–900, though few fonts come in this many weights. These pages provide information about font weights:
Richest Fonts: this lists all fonts, of those listed in Font Metrics, which come in all 9 weights. this page also lists those fonts listed in Fonts ⮞ Specimens which come in great or rich weights.
Possible Weights: this lists samples of all 9 possible weights for each font listed in Font Metrics.
True Weights: this lists samples of all distinct weights for each font listed in Font Metrics; e.g. if a font comes in 4 of the 9 possible weights, this lists samples of those 4 weights. Exception: for fonts which are not embedded and whose
font-stretchproperty can’t benormal, this instead lists samples of all 9 possible weights of such fonts.
NB: the above pages use JavaScript, and are very slow — or very, very slow — especially with Chrome-based browsers, and may appear to freeze; have patience.
